The Recreation division offers a wide variety of comprehensive community enrichment programs, popular camps, and tremendously successful and well attended events for participants of all ages. Collectively, we are committed to building a vibrant community and our citizens of tomorrow.

Youth Programs
Whether you're looking for youth sports programs, athletic camps, specialty camps, or enrichment and educational programs, our youth programs provide an endless array of opportunities for students Pre-K and up! We offer youth and enrichment programs year round and offer robust summer camps.

Center for Active Living
The Center for Active Living, a division of York Parks and Recreation Department, is located at 36 Main Street in York Beach. The Center is dedicated to providing individuals in our community, age 50 and over, with opportunities to socialize, recreate, learn, and be well through participation in activities and programs that are designed to enrich the mind, body, and spirit.

Special Events
York Parks and Recreation collaborates with a wide range of community partners to offer community events throughout the year. Join us throughout the year for a variety of fun and engaging activities that cater to all interests and ages. Don't miss out on these opportunities to connect with your neighbors and make lasting memories, together.
Mount Agamenticus
Since 1999 conservation work at Mount Agamenticus has focused on protecting the natural resources of the area by managing recreational use, remediating trails and habitats, and educating the public.
Thanks to the collaborative conservation efforts of many partners, volunteers, and donors, Mount A has become a wonderful place for the local community to enjoy the outdoors, experience its scenic beauty, and to appreciate its significance as one of “Maine’s Last Great Places.”
