# Community Events Calendar
### Festival of Frights Parade & Trunk or Treat - October 23rd
Join us at the Festival of Frights Parade and Trunk or Treat! This Halloween costume parade starts at Short Sands Basketball Courts and marches to The Center for Active Living for a Trunk or Treat celebration!
Any goblins wishing to be in the parade should line up at 4:15pm at the basketball courts. The parade begins at 4:30pm. No registration necessary.

**Wednesday, November 11th - Veterans Breakfast at Norma's**
Starting at 6:00am. The Committee for Veteran Affairs sponsors this annual Veterans Breakfast. Free special for all veterans. Thank you for your service
**Saturday, November 28th - Nubble Holiday Lights**
See the lighthouse in its holiday best every night from November 28th-February 1st
**Saturday, November 28th - Lighting of the Anchorage Celebration!**
4:00pm-7:30pm at the Anchorage Inn, York Beach. Join the holiday festivities with music, hot chocolate, ice bar, and Santa!
### December 2026
**December 5th, Saturday - York Public Library's 25th Birthday on Long Sands Road**
11:00am-1:00pm - Join us for birthday cake, music, and celebration! Celebrate your library and all it means to the York community!

We'll transform our usual StoryWalk route into a trail of community poetry, each poem an opportunity to connect with each other along the walk to the summit!
